"Delas is producing no nonsense, extremely high quality efforts that are near the top of each of their respective appellations. I was consistently impressed by the wines...these are serious efforts worthy of attention." Wine Advocate, 12/13.
To say that 2011 was a smashing success for Delas doesn't even begin to do it justice. Sourcing from top vineyards throughout the Rhone Valley, Delas Freres has gone from average and unremarkable to the upper tiers of Northern Rhone winemaking in just a few short years. As expected, their wines from Hermitage are spectacular cellar treasures and amongst the best in the entire valley. But their wines from Crozes-Hermitage and Saint Joseph impressed us most. Featured prominently in last week's Wine Advocate, the spotlight is once again deservedly on Delas!
Whichever wine you're looking at, the quality for the price on these Syrahs is, in a word, stunning. With an emphasis on polish, balance and purity of fruit, they've become a Zachys favorite and it's easy to see why.
Robert Parker has said that Delas frequently "flirts with perfection." In stock and ready to ship, one taste and we have no doubt that you'll agree!
